The Highly figured Tasmanian Blackwood is fast becoming one of the finest tone
woods available today. This particular guitar is the double back design and the
picture to the left shows the back in its formed state with no braces, prior to
attaching to a set of sides. The shape is similar to instruments of the violin
family. The back does not require braces.
Timber of this quality is hard to find
The spruce top is many years old and has a very fine grain with good medullary content. It is well quartered and has no runout. The guitar has a beautiful French Polished top and lacquered back and sides.
The std cases is a Hiscox Lite flight cases. These are very good light weight English cases. I do offer other cases as options.
The sound of this guitar is bright and clear with great sustain and volume. The balance is excellent as is the playability. This really is a superb instrument.
